GC4C was registered in 2009 by a group of professional women, primarily in the mineral exploration and mining industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. Because their travel often took them to countries and communities in remote locations, these founding members saw firsthand the many children who are disadvantaged and disenfranchised. As a result, they came together to make a difference. Through their vision and passion GC4C has successfully raised over $380,000 within the last eleven years, to fund projects directed at helping children's health, education, their social and economic development. GC4C is a volunteer organization, relying on donated time and dollars, which means that 100% of the net proceeds raised are donated directly to children's causes.
